Historická mapa bitvy u Štěrbohol

Abstract

The goal of this bachelor's thesis is to conduct a content analysis of old maps of the Battle of Štěrboholy. Based on the information gained from the analyzed maps, a historical map of this conflict will be created. The old maps of the battle used in this thesis are located in the Map Collection of the Faculty of Science, Charles University. In the first part of the thesis, the battle is introduced in historical context. This is followed by a discussion of issues related to content analysis of old battle maps. The analysis of two old maps follows. The last part of this thesis is dedicated to creating a historical map based on the old maps. The result is a detailed map of the battle, which aims to provide the reader with the most accurate depiction of the conflict. Cílem této bakalářské práce je provést obsahovou analýzu starých map bitvy u Štěrbohol. Na základě informací z analyzovaných map bude pak vytvořena historická mapa střetnutí. Využité staré mapy bitvy se nacházejí v Mapové sbírce Přírodovědecké fakulty Univerzity Karlovy (PřF UK). V první části práce je bitva představena v historických souvislostech. Dále je diskutována problematika obsahové analýzy starých bitevních map. Navazuje samotná analýza dvou vybraných starých map. Poslední část práce se věnuje tvorbě historické mapy na základě starých podkladů. Výsledkem je podrobná mapa bitvy, která má za cíl čtenáři co nejvíce přiblížit její průběh.
