Smrt ženy a nemožnost feminismu: epistemologické střety v západním feministickém myšlení

Abstract

The presented bachelor's thesis introduces a hypothesis of "the death of woman", which designates the condition of a radical epistemic and existential crisis in relation to the conventional subject of feminism, i.e. woman, which has happened as a result of exclusionary practices in the feminist movement and theory, as well as of the disintegration of the modern political subject. The thesis employs several selected conflicts that occured in Western feminist thought from the 1970s onwards and uses them as an illustration of feminism's inherent tendency to contradict and overcome itself. The following speculative thesis of "the impossibility of feminism" then reveals yet another layer of contradiction within the feminist project, namely the affective and libidinal limits of women's becoming-subject.

Předkládaná bakalářská práce přichází s tezí o "smrti ženy", jež značí stav radikální epistemické a existenciální krize ve vztahu ke klasickému subjektu feminismu, tj. ženy, k níž došlo jednak v reakci na vylučující praxi feministického hnutí a feministické teorie, jednak v důsledku rozpadu modernistického pojetí politického subjektu jako takového. Práce pracuje s vybranými střety ve feministickém myšlení od 70. let 20. století do současnosti a ilustruje na nich inherentní sklon feminismu (feminismů) k vlastnímu sebepopírání a překonávání. Spekulativní teze o "nemožnosti feminismu" pak odhalí další možnou úroveň rozpornosti feministického projektu, když narazí na afektivní a libidinální limity ženského stávání se subjektem.
