Sociologie důvěry ve vědu

Abstract

This thesis is concerned with a role of science in society and this theme is analyzed through risk and trust in science. It is argued that risk and trust in science are strongly interconnected and that is why they are analyzed together within one thesis. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part introduces generally theoretical context of reflexive sociology as it uses its apparatus. In this part of thesis are mainly analyzed terms of "modernity" and "reflexivity", and they are approached through the theme of science and knowledge. The second part is concerned with an analysis of trust in science and risk and their evolution today. The analysis uses theory presented in the first part of the thesis. There are also used actual studies concerning trust and risk in this analysis and they are compared with the reflexive-sociology approach. That is how the evolution of risk and trust in science is outlined. The result is a description of general dimensions of risk and trust in science and their evolution according to reflexive sociology which may help to understanding of a role of science in a temporary society. Tato práce se věnuje roli vědy ve společnosti, přičemž toto téma analyzuje skrze riziko a důvěru ve vědu. V práci se vysvětluje, že tyto riziko a důvěra ve vědu jsou silně provázané a proto jsou analyzovány dohromady v jedné práci. Práce se dále dělí na dvě hlavní části. V první je představen obecně teoretický kontext reflexivní sociologie, jejíž aparát práce využívá. V této části práce se analyzují především pojmy "modernita" a "reflexivita", přičemž se k nim přistupuje skrze tematiku vědy a poznání. Druhá část se zabývá analýzou důvěry ve vědu a rizika a jejich vývoje v současnosti. K tomu jí slouží teorie představené v první části, skrze něž důvěru ve vědu a riziko uchopuje. V této analýze se dále využívají i aktuální vstupy týkající se rizika a důvěry, které se porovnávají s přístupem reflexivní sociologie. Tím je naznačen vývoj rizika a důvěry ve vědu. Výsledkem je popsání obecných dimenzí rizika a důvěry ve vědu a jejich vývoje podle reflexivní sociologie, což může přispět k porozumění role vědy v současné společnosti.
