Nedostatky v oblasti péče o lidi po poranění míchy v České Republice

Abstract

While writing the thesis, I presume that tha vast majority of people with spinal chord injury (SCI) like paraplegics and quadruplegics are capable according to their intelligence cooperate, and after good treatment and care they can live "normal" social life and earn themselves living. For that they need a big help from their environment, "general public", professionals and state. Therefore I ask following questions: "What do the respondents think of offered services to all people with spinal chord injury?", "Is there in the Czech Republic sufficient comprehensive rehabilitation about people with spinal chord injury?" The aim of this thesis is to describe complications and results of spinal chord injuries (paraplegia, quadruplegia) and with that connected the cure, especially rehabilitative cure. The main aim is to find out the absences in the sphere of care about people on wheelchair in the Czech Republic. I focused on what wheelchair people see as the biggest problem in their lives, how they feel the changes in legislative, medical care, complex rehabilitation, possibilities of job placement and education in the Czech Republic over the past few years. Cílem mé práce je popsat komplikace a důsledky míšního poranění jako je paraplegie a tetraplegie, a s ním spojenou léčbu především rehabilitační. Hlavním cílem je zjistit nedostatky v oblasti péče o lidi po poranění míchy v České republice. Zaměřit se na to, co vidí vozíčkáři jako hlavní problém ve svém životě, jak vnímají změny v legislativě, lékařské péči, komplexní rehabilitaci, možnosti pracovního uplatnění a vzdělávání v České republice za poslední léta. Dalším cílem je zjistit, do jaké míry se stát zajímá a "stará" o vozíčkáře s míšní lézí, zda-li nabízí efektivní služby těmto lidem a zda-li existuje v ČR organizace či centrum, které pomáhá a věnuje se přímo vozíčkářům po poranění míchy a zda-li nabízí dostatečné komplexní služby. Z rozhovorů a dotazníkového šetření vyplynulo, že podle respondentů v ČR existuje pouze jedno centrum pro lidi po úrazu míchy a to je Centrum Paraple, které podle nich nabízí jako jediné komplexní služby. Respondenti se domnívají, že stát a společnost v ČR nenabízí efektivní pomoc lidem po poranění míchy. Nabízí jen určité druhy pomoci, jako je: pomoc lidem čerstvě po úrazu (systém spinálních jednotek), poradenství, nabídka pouze některých dostupných kompenzačních pomůcek, sociální pomoc.
