Role a postavení soudních tlumočníků ve Francii

Abstract

This theoretical-empirical diploma thesis addresses the role and position of court interpreters in France and is divided into two parts. The theoretical part consists of two sections. The first focuses on professional literature on court interpreting and, marginally, court translation. The second section deals with court interpreting and translation in France, comparing selected aspects to the situation in the Czech Republic. The topic is introduced by way of a short outline of the history of court translation and interpreting in France. The empirical part is presented as a complementary quantitative study. Participants in the survey were court interpreters cooperating with courts of appeal in France whose working languages are Czech and French. The aim of the empirical part was to specify certain vague regulations that define the conditions for the appointment of court interpreters, proving of professional experience that the interpreter has gained over a three-year trial period, the number and form of training courses that the interpreter must attend. In addition, the goal was to find out what financial reward the interpreters consider appropriate. Keywords: court interpreters, court translators, France, Czech Republic

Tato teoreticko-empirická diplomová práce se zabývá rolí a postavením soudních tlumočníků ve Francii a skládá se ze dvou částí. Teoretická část je rozdělena do dvou oddílů. První z nich se zaměřuje na odbornou literaturu zabývající se soudním tlumočením, okrajově též soudním překladem. Druhý oddíl se zaobírá soudním tlumočením a překladem ve Francii a komparací jejich vybraných aspektů se situací v České republice. Na úvod bude proveden krátký historický exkurz do soudního tlumočení a překladu ve Francii. Empirická část má podobu doplňující kvantitativní studie. Účastníky dotazníkového šetření byli soudní tlumočníci působící u odvolacích soudů ve Francii, jejichž pracovními jazyky jsou čeština a angličtina. Cílem empirické části bylo zpřesnit některá vágní ustanovení upravující podmínky pro jmenování soudním tlumočníkem, prokazování zkušeností, které soudní tlumočník nabyl během tříleté zkušební doby, počet vzdělávacích kurzů, které soudní tlumočníci každý rok musí absolvovat, a jejich formu. Taktéž bylo cílem zjistit, jaké finanční ohodnocení soudní tlumočníci považují za adekvátní. Klíčová slova: soudní tlumočníci, soudní překladatelé, Francie, Česká republika
