Generační protest italských spisovatelů na přelomu 20. a 21. století

Abstract

Generation Protest of Italian Writers at the Turn of the Twentieth and Twenty-first centuries The aim of this thesis is an analysis of the generational protest in Italian prose at the turn of the millennium. The thesis examines the works Compleanno dell'iguana (1991) by Silvia Ballestra, Bla bla bla (1997) by Giuseppe Culicchia, Fango (1996) by Niccolò Ammaniti and Superwoobinda (1998) by Aldo Nove, in which the a touch on topics fundamental to modern society. The thesis initially examines the situation of Italian literature in the nineties of the twentieth century, when new literary styles, tendencies and themes appear and a young generation of writers breaks through. The next chapter focuses on identification of the common enemy of all four authors, tries to describe their attitude towards a changing society while defining the aims of their protests. The main part of the thesis is a thematic and stylistic analysis of each work; in some chapters specific stories are discussed separately. The following section offers a comparison of books and a list of common elements. The final part is devoted to a short evaluation of the generational protest and indicates today's different lifestyle. Generační protest italských spisovatelů na přelomu 20. a 21. století Cílem této diplomové práce je analýza generačního protestu v italské próze na přelomu tisíciletí. Práce zkoumá díla Compleanno dell'iguana (1991) od Silvie Ballestry, Bla bla bla (1997) od Giuseppa Culicchii, Fango (1996) od Niccoly Ammanitiho a Superwoobinda (1998) od Alda Noveho, v nichž se tvůrci dotýkají témat zásadních pro moderní společnost. Nejprve se práce zabývá stavem italské literatury v devadesátých letech dvacátého století, kdy se objevují nové literární styly, tendence a témata a o slovo se hlásí mladá generace spisovatelů. Další kapitola je zaměřena na identifikaci společného nepřítele všech čtyř autorů, snaží se popsat jejich postoj vůči měnící se společnosti a současně vymezit cíle jejich protestů. Hlavní část práce tvoří tematický a stylistický rozbor jednotlivých děl; v některých kapitolách jsou samostatně rozebrány konkrétní povídky. Následuje vzájemné srovnání knih a výčet společných styčných prvků. Závěrečná část se věnuje stručnému zhodnocení generačního protestu a naznačuje dnešní odlišný životní styl.
