Způsob vnímání nového zpravodajského kanálu CNN Prima News českým publikem

Abstract

This thesis focuses on the viewer reception of the CNN Prima NEWS news station. The aim of the research is to gain insight into the viewing patterns and routines that are repeated when watching this station. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the main studies on the topic with reference to experts and then introduces the CNN Prima NEWS station along with the viewership data. The next part of the thesis then discusses the methodology that was used for data collection and analysis in this research. The results of the thesis are obtained by using not only the viewership data but also a questionnaire survey and semi-structured interviews with a selected sample of respondents who watch the station. This research was conducted with the respondents in the spring of 2022. The data collected during the research is then analysed and categorized to make the thesis as close to its objective as possible. Several findings have emerged that provide a better understanding of how Czech viewers perceive CNN Prima NEWS. The thesis also includes appendices with the results of the questionnaire survey and transcripts of semi-structured interviews.

Tato diplomová práce se věnuje divácké recepci zpravodajské stanice CNN Prima NEWS. Cílem výzkumu je nahlédnout do diváckých vzorců a rutin, které se při sledování této stanice opakují. Teoretická část práce definuje hlavní studie k tématu s odkazem na odborníky a dále pak představuje stanici CNN Prima NEWS společně s daty sledovanosti. Další část práce se pak věnuje metodice, která byla pro sběr a analýzu dat v tomto výzkumu využita. Výsledky práce získává za pomoci nejen dat sledovanosti, ale také dotazníkového šetření a polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s vybraným vzorkem respondentů, kteří stanici sledují. Tento výzkum s respondenty probíhal na jaře 2022. Data nasbíraná během výzkumu jsou následně analyzována a kategorizována tak, aby se práce co nejlépe přiblížila svému cíli. Vznikla z nich řada zjištění, díky kterým lze lépe porozumět tomu, jak český divák stanici CNN Prima NEWS vnímá. Součástí práce jsou rovněž přílohy s výsledky dotazníkového šetření a přepisy polostrukturovaných rozhovorů.
