Komunitní tlumočení pro státní správu ve styku s cizinci

Abstract

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá dosud poměrně neprobádanou oblastí tlumočení, a sice komunitním tlumočením. Tímto tématem se již zabývaly ve svých diplomových pracích Lucie Nakládalová (2005) a Jana Gutvirtová (2008), nicméně tato práce nabízí pohled na problematiku komunitního tlumočení z jiného úhlu pohledu a zaměřuje se především na cizince pocházejících ze zemí západní Evropy, konkrétně na německé a francouzské rodilé mluvčí, kteří více či méně dlouhodobě pobývají v České republice a zároveň neovládají vůbec nebo jen nedostatečně český jazyk. Teoretická část práce je věnována definici komunitního tlumočení, šíři a specifikům jeho využití a popisu situace v několika evropských i mimoevropských státech. Zvláštní důraz je přitom kladen na Českou republiku včetně zmapování počtu cizinců, žijících na českém území a současných principů jejich integrace . Empirická část práce se zaměřuje na konkrétní úřady a zdravotnická zařízení, jež přichází do styku s cizinci, včetně zkušeností zaměstnanců zdravotnických zařízení, kteří působí jako ad-hoc tlumočníci. Součástí práce je i dotazníkové šetření, prováděné mezi německými a francouzskými rodilými mluvčími a zaměřené na jejich osobní zkušenosti s překonáváním jazykové bariéry s tlumočníkem i bez tlumočníka.

The thesis deals with the subject of Community Interpreting, which has not been explored very deeply until now. This subject has already been treated in the theses of Lucie Nakládalová (2005) and Jana Gutvirtová (2008), but the presented thesis offers a different point of view to the subject concerned. It is exploring the situation of foreigners coming from Western Europe, namely French and German speakers, who live in the Czech Republic on a more or less long term basis, but who have not mastered the Czech language at all or well enough. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to the definition of Community Interpreting, the range and specifics of its application, and to the description of the situation in some countries inside and outside Europe. The Czech Republic is especially accentuated, including the study of the number of foreigners living on the Czech territory and the principles of their integration. The empirical part targets the specific authorities and health centres that get in touch with foreigners, including the experiences of their staff acting as ad-hoc interpreters. This thesis also contains a survey carried out among German and French speaking foreigners, focusing on their personal experiences with overcoming the language barrier with as well as without an interpreter.
