Mezinárodní židovské organizace jako političtí aktéři

Abstract

This bachelor thesis builds on the existing discussion about transnational interactions and transnational advocacy networks with a case study dedicated to Jewish NGOs. Activities of five international Jewish organisations in relation to the Visegrad Group countries were analysed, with attention focused on advocacy of the international Jewish organisations against anti- Semitism. The activities of the NGOs were interpreted in the context of the transnational advocacy networks theory by Margaret E. Keck and Kathryn Sikkink which is suitable especially for value-oriented political actors. The thesis describes the strategies by which the international Jewish organizations try to enter politics to advance their own agendas. Public statements responding to current political events, direct calls on political authorities to change behaviour or political decisions, arranging face-to-face meetings with political authorities and forming coalitions with local Jewish communities were identified as the most frequently used strategies by the international Jewish organisations to enter politics. Bakalářská práce navazuje na dosavadní diskuzi o transnacionálních interakcích a transnacionálních advokačních sítích vlastní případovou studií věnovanou židovským nevládním organizací. V práci jsem analyzovala činnost pěti mezinárodních židovských organizací ve vztahu k zemím Visegrádské skupiny, přičemž pozornost jsem soustředila na advokační činnost mezinárodních židovských organizací namířenou proti antisemitismu. Aktivity těchto nevládních organizací jsem interpretovala v kontextu teorie Margaret E. Keck a Kathryn Sikkink o transnacionálních advokačních sítích, jejíž použití je vhodné zejména pro hodnotově orientované politické aktéry. Práce popisuje, jakými strategiemi se snaží mezinárodní židovské organizace vstupovat do politiky, aby prosadily vlastní agendu. Jako nejčastěji užívané strategie jsem identifikovala veřejná stanoviska reagující na aktuální politické události, přímé výzvy politických autorit ke změně chování či politických rozhodnutí, sjednávání osobních schůzek s politickými autoritami a tvorbu koalic s místními židovskými komunitami. Z mé analýzy činnosti mezinárodních židovských organizací také vyplývá, že tito aktéři opírají svou autoritu o svůj profesionální charakter a za všech okolností se snaží působit jako seriózní političtí partneři pro vysoké politické autority.
