Učitel jako oběť násilí

Abstract

Práce se zabývá problematikou násilí vůči učitelům. Jedná se o téma, které je v posledních letech předmětem široké diskuse, a to i díky několika případům, kdy u nás či v zahraničí došlo k fyzickému napadení pedagoga studentem, nejednou s tragickými následky. Často se poukazuje na skutečnost, že agresivita mládeže roste, a profese učitele se tak stává profesí rizikovou. Jak nicméně naznačuje teoretická část práce, obvyklé zdroje informací, o něž se takové tvrzení opírá, nejsou prosty určitých nedostatků či zkreslení. Týká se to nejen mediálního zpravodajství, ale i kriminálních statistik. Nemalým problémem je však již samotné vymezení pojmů agrese či násilí. Ty je v daném kontextu navíc nutno nahlížet v bezprostřední souvislosti s výkonem učitelské profese, tedy jako jednu z forem jevu, označovaného jako násilí na pracovišti. Práce se rovněž pokouší pojmenovat možné příčiny takové agrese, přičemž je nehledá jen v rovině útočníka a jeho osobnosti, ale v souladu s poznatky soudobých viktimologických studií i v chování a vlastnostech učitele coby oběti, respektive v některých specifických charakteristikách pedagogické interakce. Obecně se ukazuje, že nejvíce informací o rozsahu a podobách násilí vůči učitelům mohou nabídnout empirické výzkumy. Až dosud se však bohužel na toto téma zaměřilo pouze několik...

The thesis is focused on violence against teachers. It is a broadly discussed topic because of several cases of teachers assaulted by a student in the Czech Republic or abroad, sometimes with fatal consequences. Usually there is an opinion that youth violent behaviour is on increase and therefore educational profession is becoming a risk one. The thesis suggests there is some kind of distortion in sources of such information which such opinions are based on. It relates both to news coverage and crime statistics. There is also a problem to define violence or aggressive behaviour. Moreover, we should consider them in a close relation to the work of a teacher, ideally as a type of so called workplace violence. The thesis explores causes of violence against teachers. Not only with respect to perpetrator but also regarding the victim and his or her behaviour or specific features typical for interaction between teachers and students. Empirical research is the most important source of relevant information related to the extent and patterns of violence against teachers. Unfortunately, there are only few studies focused on the problem. This is the reason why the discussion of the problem is usually based on guesswork or speculations but not on the real knowledge.
