Zvyšující se věk prvorodičů optikou rodinné politiky

Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with the increasing age of first-time parents from the perspective of family policy. The aim of the thesis is to describe the situation of family policy in the Czech Republic in the context of the increasing age of first- time parents and to explain changes in the behaviour of today's parents as well as to outline the causes and consequences of postponing parenthood. The work is based on the theory of life path and then focuses mainly on transitions in adulthood and parenthood. It defines family policy and describes related concepts such as family and the basic actors of family policy and their roles. For the purpose of this work, a mixed research combining both quantitative methods of questioning and qualitative methods were chosen. The research results were analysed and presented using graphical representations. It was found that the response of family policy to the increasing age of first-time parents in the Czech Republic is not very large, due to its institutional setting as well as due to the relatively insignificant effects of this phenomenon. Diplomová práce se zabývá zvyšujícím se věkem prvorodičů optikou rodinné politiky. Cílem práce je popsat situaci rodinné politiky v České republice v kontextu zvyšujícího se věku prvorodičů a vysvětlit změny chování dnešních rodičů stejně tak, jako nastínit příčiny a důsledky odkládání rodičovství. Práce se opírá o teorii životní dráhy a soustředí se pak především na tranzice v dospělosti a k rodičovství. Je zde vymezena rodinná politika a jsou popsány související pojmy, jako je rodina a základní aktéři rodinné politiky a jejich role. Pro potřebu této práce byl zvolen smíšený výzkum kombinující jak kvantitativní metody dotazování, tak kvalitativní metody. Výsledky výzkumu byly analyzovány a prezentovány pomocí grafických znázornění. Bylo zjištěno, že reakce rodinné politiky na zvyšující se věk prvorodičů v České republice není příliš velká, a to z důvodu jejího institucionálního nastavení stejně tak, jako z důvodu relativně nezávažných dopadů tohoto jevu. Nejvýraznější příčiny zvyšujícího se věku prvorodičů se dají charakterizovat jako vývoj a posun k genderové rovnosti, finanční otázka nákladů na dítě a podpora poskytovaná státem rodinám. Jako hlavní důsledky byl identifikován dopad na vývoj demografického rozložení společnosti, rozvoj asistované reprodukce a bezdětnost z důvodu neplodnosti.
