Lexikální analýza románu "Mahrem" autorky Elif Şafak

Abstract

one hand it deals with the litera! and stylistic aspects of the novel in relation to the use of vocabulary, dosely linked to the topic of the novel, on the other hand it focuses on inner structures of the text, which is analysed and demonstrated by strict use of mathematical means. The thesis i s divided in to three parts, each focusing on a different aspect of the literary work and therefore each having its own method. From the perspective of the approach to the analysed subject, the first two chapters share many common features with regards to their interest in the aesthetic function of literary techniques, be they the narrative structure or the use ofvocabulary. The third chapter deals with textual structures while applying quantitative methods in accordance with text linguistics. It can be stated that the results ofthe first analysis serve as an introductory step into the second analysis, especially because of the use of the frequency dictionary ofthe novel that was created for the first analysis. The stylistic-lexical analysis confirms that Elif Safak deploys a wide range of archaic words, which is not very common in modem Turkish, but they are well incorporated in the novel's rhetorical style. Lexikální analýza postmoderního románu Mahrem autorky Elif Safak přinesla závěry dvojího typu. Na jedné straně pojednala o literární, stylistické stránce díla s ohledem na způsob užití lexika s pevnou vazbou na téma, na druhé straně se věnovala vnitřním strukturám textu, které bylo možné analyzovat a demonstrovat pouze matematickými metodami. Práce je rozdělená do tří částí, z nichž každá je zaměřena na jiný aspekt literárního textu a má také svou metodu. Z pohledu přístupu k objektu analýzy jsou si prvé dvě kapitoly blízké, protože jsou zaměřené na estetickou funkci literárních postupů, ať již jde o výstavbu příběhu nebo o použití slovníku. Třetí kapitola se věnuje textovým strukturám s pomocí kvantitativních metod, jak je užívá textová lingvistika. Je možné říci, že závěry prvních dvou kapitol slouží jako předstupeň kvantitativní analýzy, především díky užití frekvenčního slovníku díla, který jsem zpracovala pro první analýzu. Stylisticko lexikální analýza potvrdila, že Elif Safak používá mnoho archaických slov, která nejsou v moderní turečtině běžná, ale umělecky je dobře zapracovává, což přispívá ke zvýšení literární kvality díla. Věnovala jsem se různým výrazovým prostředkům románu Mahrem. V prvé kapitole jsem přiblížila obsah a členění románu a soustředila se na vyprávěcí postupy, v druhé kapitole...
