Kybernásilí na LGBTQ+ lidech v ČR

Abstract

This piece of work focuses on cyberviolence against LGBTQ+ adults in the Czech online space. Cyberviolence is overall a new phenomenon, at present mostly examined in relation to children and adolescents. In this work, the author offers insight into the ways queer people use the Internet, the negative events they encounter and the manner in which they manage these experiences. The work builds on the ideas of heteronormative social hegemony and looks for links between this social order and cyberviolence. Using the qualitative method of semi- structured interviews, research was conducted with eight LGBTQ+ participants. The results showed queer people faced grave acts such as threats or extortion as well as homophobic and transphobic microagression. The fact that cyberviolence against adults is often downplayed by the society, but also victims themselves, makes its management all the more complicated. Nevertheless, it is essential to dedicate more attention to this topic in the effort to eliminate heterosexism in society.

Tato práce se věnuje tématu kybernásilí na dospělých LGBTQ+ lidech v prostředí českého internetu. Téma kybernásilí je obecně nový fenomén, kterému byl doposud dáván prostor spíše ve vztahu k dětem a adolescentům. Touto prací autorka nabídne vhled do způsobu užívání internetu queer lidmi, jakým negativním událostem tam čelí a jak se s těmito zkušenostmi vypořádávají. Práce staví na myšlence heteronormativní společenské hegemonie a hledá spojitosti mezi tímto společenským řádem a kybernásilím. Pomocí kvalitativní metody polostrukturovaných rozhovorů byl proveden výzkum s osmi LGBTQ+ respondenty*tkami. Ukázalo se, že queer lidé čelili*y jak závažným činům jako vyhrožování či vydírání, tak homofobní a transfobní mikroagresi. Fakt, že kybernásilí je u dospělých lidí často bagatelizováno jak společností, tak samotnými oběťmi, znesnadňuje jeho řešení. Přesto je třeba tomuto tématu věnovat větší pozornost ve snaze o eliminaci heterosexismu ve společnosti.
