Abstract

Cílem první části této bakalářské práce je předložit překlad prvních dvou kapitol knihy Making Comics od komiksového tvůrce a teoretika Scotta McClouda. Jedná se o kapitolu úvodní a o kapitolu s názvem "Writing with Pictures". Druhá část práce se věnuje analýze překladu, která zahrnuje analýzu výchozího textu, hlavní překladatelské problémy, popis metody překladu a překladatelských posunů. The aim of the first part of this thesis is to present a translation of the first two chapters of the book Making Comics, written by a comics author and theorist Scott McCloud - the two chapters being the introduction and the chapter called "Writing with Pictures". The second part of the thesis contains an analysis of the translation, which includes an analysis of the original text, the main problems for translation, a description of the translation method and translation shifts.
