Změny v komunikačních strategiích u osob se sluchovým postižením v období pandemie COVID-19

Abstract

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na jedince se sluchovým postižením a změnu jejich komunikace s příchodem pandemie COVID-19 a s ní souvisejícími vládními opatřeními. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části, teoretickou a praktickou. V teoretické části jsou vymezené termíny a oblasti, které jsou nezbytné pro komplexní pochopení problematiky. První kapitola se zabývá především vymezením sluchu, sluchového postižení a různých přístupů k lidem se sluchovým postižením. Druhá kapitola představuje obecný pohled na mezilidskou komunikaci, specifika v komunikaci u lidí se sluchovým postižením a možnosti, které jim pomáhají v komunikaci s majoritní společností. Ve třetí kapitole je popsána situace týkající se pandemie COVID-19, zaměřuje se také na nejdůležitější opatření, která mohla u jedinců se sluchovým postižením zapříčinit jakékoli bariéry. Hlavním cílem praktické části je zjistit, zda se s ohledem na pandemii změnila komunikace u lidí se sluchovým postižením a v jakých případech. Další výzkumné otázky se zabývají využitelností a spolehlivostí služeb poskytujících podporu lidem se sluchovým postižením. Tyto položky zjišťují, zda jsou služby více potřebné, než před pandemií a v jakých situacích je lidé nejčastěji využívají. The bachelor thesis is focused on individuals with hearing impairment and changes in their communication since the COVID-19 pandemic arrived and consequential safety measures were imposed. The thesis is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. In the theoretical part, the terminology and areas, which are necessary in order to understand the given issue, are defined. The first chapter is mostly concerned with defining hearing, hearing impairment and various approaches to people with hearing impairment. The second chapter introduces a general view on interpersonal communication, particular communication characteristics of people with hearing impairment and choices they have which can help them communicating with the rest of the society. The third chapter describes a situation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and the safety measures which may have had an adverse impact on individuals with hearing impairment. The main goal of the practical part is to find out whether the communication of people with hearing impairment changed in regard to the pandemic and in what circumstances it may have been so.
