Abstract

This Bachelor thesis concerns the theme ofinternet payments and subsequent provision of goods and services for seniors. The theoretical section of the thesis defines the key term 'senior' and covers issues of old age and current use of technology by the elderly. Also covered in this section are the education, knowledge and safety of seniors connected with their activities on the internet involving online purchases and payments. The theoretical section also describes payment methods used for online internet payments and the positives, negatives, and level of risk of such payments. Attention is also givenhere to issues of online payment fraud and other forms of abuse.The research section of the thesis is carried out through qualitative research in the form of partially structured interviews with respondents of between 60-74 years of age having prior experience with internet payments. The purpose of the thesis is to determine how knowledgeable seniors are about internet payments, including their practical experience and whether they know the risks involved and how to avoid abuse. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem internetových plateb s následnou úhradou zbožíči služby osobami v seniorském věku. Teoretická část se nejprve věnuje problematice stáří, definuje zde klíčový pojem senior a současné využívání technologií osobami v seniorském věku. Dále se zabývá vzdělaností, znalostmi a bezpečností seniorů spojenýchs jejich aktivitami na internetu při online nákupech a platbách. V této části práce jsou rovněž popsány platební metody, využívané pro online platby na internetu, jejichpozitiva, negativa a míra rizikovosti. Je zde také věnovaná pozornost problematice podvodných online plateb a dalšího postupu v případě, že dojde k jejich zneužití. Výzkumná část práce je realizována formou kvalitativního výzkumu v podobě polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s respondenty ve věku 60-74 let s předchozí zkušeností s platbami přes internet. Cílem práce je zjistit, jaké znalosti o platbách přes internet senioři mají a to včetně jejich praktických zkušeností, a také zda znají jejich rizika a vědí, jak se v případě zneužití bránit.
