Role médií v konstruování společenských představ o menšinách: vnímaný vliv seriálu Most! na představy o transgender lidech

Abstract

Diplomová práce s názvem "Role médií v konstruování společenských představ o menšinách: vnímaný vliv seriálu Most! na představy o transgender lidech" zkoumá, jestli mohl mít seriál Most! vliv na mediální reprezentaci tématu transgender a představu společnosti o transgender lidech. V této práci jsem využila kvalitativní analýzu metodou tzv. zakotvené teorie (otevřené a axiální kódování). Na základě kvalitativní analýzy vybraných mediálních obsahů se práce zabývá komparací mediální reprezentace tématu transgender ve dvou časových období. Pomocí výzkumu jsem zjistila, že seriál Most! ovlivnil mediální reprezentaci tématu transgender ve smyslu nově nalezených rámců a stereotypů, a to pomocí kvalitativní analýzy. Dále jsem využila odpovědi z dotazníkového šetření, které jsem taktéž analyzovala kvalitativně. Zde jsem ale nemohla jednoznačně určit odpověď na otázku, jestli seriál Most! ovlivnil představu lidí o transgenderu. Odpovědi respondentů byly totiž rozdílné a nenašla jsem v nich shodu. Respondenti se shodli pouze na tom, že seriál Most! měl potenciál změnit představu o transgender lidech. Jako poslední jsem analyzovala rozhovory s lidmi z transgender komunity. Diploma thesis "Media and the construction of minorities' representations: perceptions of the possible influence of the Most! series on transgender representations" examines if could have the series Most! influence on the media representation of the topic of transgender and society's vision of transgender people. Based on a qualitative analysis of selected media content, the work deals with a comparison media representation of the topic of transgender in two time periods. This diploma thesis found that the Most! series influenced the media representation of the topic of transgender in terms of newly found frameworks and stereotypes through qualitative analysis. I also used a questionnaire survey, which I also analyzed qualitatively. Here I found an ambiguous answer, because the answers of the respondents were very balanced. Respondents agreed that the Most! series had the potential to change the idea of transgender people. But he did not change their idea of a transgender. The last were interviews with people from the transgender community. From them, I found out that the respondents also agree that the material the Most! series had the potential to change the idea of transgender people. According to them, however, the series did not affect the idea of transgender people.
