Teorie a praxe překladu humoristické beletrie - problematika překladu humoru v kulturním a jazykovém kontextu

Abstract

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to present different approaches to the translation of humorous fiction, both from a theoretical and practical viewpoint. In the theoretical section, the author outlines the defining characteristics of humorous fiction and introduces the problematic aspects of translating humorous fiction in comparison to other genres. The central focus of the thesis is the translability of humor, both as a part of language and as a means of sociocultural communication. The practical section contains the author's translation of selected extracts from Henryk Bardijewski's novel Pan Fiasko i jego sukcesy (Ezop, 2017). This thesis examines the challenges associated with and and problematic aspects of translating humorous fiction through the analysis of a translated text, all in the context of the general issue of translation from Polish to Czech.

Práce si klade za cíl nastínit různé přístupy k překladu humoristické beletrie jak v rovině teoretické, tak praktické. Pokusí se nejprve charakterizovat humoristickou literaturu a následně na příkladu konkrétního textu, resp. jeho překladu nastínit specifické problémy překladu humoristické literatury (ve srovnání s jinými žánry). Zaměří se na otázku přeložitelnosti humoru jako prvku nejen jazykové, ale i sociálně společenské komunikace. Praktická část bude vycházet z autorčina vlastního překladu fragmentů knihy Henryka Bardijewského Pan Fiasko i jego sukcesy (Ezop, 2017) a bude se zabývat konkrétními výzvami a problematickými momenty překladu humoristické beletrie, resp. analýzou přeloženého textu, to vše v širším kontextu obecné problematiky překladu z polského do českého jazyka.
