Abstract

Definite nouns are one of the most important category in the expression of definiteness in Albanian. The phenomenon of definiteness of nouns is one of the key elements in Albanian grammar, however so far it has not been comprehensively analyzed in the Albanian sources. The core of this thesis is based on a practical analysis of definite nouns in a concrete language material, the novel General of the Dead Army by Ismail Kadare.
