Předkládaná práce je přehledovou studií literatury o problematice neformálních plateb za zdravotní péči. Zkoumaná oblast je zúžena na transformující se zdravotnické systémy posttotalitních společností a geograficky zaměřena na východoevropské země. Struktura práce zahrnuje historický kontext vývoje neformálních plateb ve východoevropských zemích v osmdesátých letech minulého století a na začátku let devadesátých a souhrn informací o podobě transformace zdravotnických systémů ve východoevropských státech; dále se v práci věnuji podstatě a povaze neformálních plateb, jejich možné systémové roli a jejich důsledků pro ekvitu, efektivitu péče a zdravotní politiku.
This paper is a review of literature published on informal payments for health care in transition post-socialist societies of Eastern Europe. Historical background of emerging informal payments in 1980-90s and a review of transformation activities in each state are summarised. Furthermore, the characteristics of informal payments are studied, as well as their possible systemic role and impact on equity and efficiency of health care and policy implications.
