Sto let KDU-ČSL na české politické scéně: vývoj strany a komparace s rakouskou ÖVP

Abstract

The bachelor's thesis "One Hundred Years of KDU-ČSL on the Czech Political Scene: Party Development and Comparison with the Austrian ÖVP" primarily deals with a detailed analysis of the Czech political party KDU-ČSL and subsequent comparison with the Austrian political party ÖVP. The aim is to find out why KDU-ČSL does not achieve such electoral support in the Czech Republic as ÖVP does in Austria. The main concept of the thesis is a political party, therefore is the thesis first devoted to its definition and theories of the emergence of political parties based on different typologies. Last but not least, bachelor's thesis also deals with a detailed historical analysis of the KDU-ČSL and ÖVP. The main part of the bachelor thesis is contained in the last chapter, which is a comparison of both political parties, election results, membership and electoral base, organizational structure, or current election programs. In the end, the results of the comparison are evaluated, in which data from professional sources and available statistics were used.

Bakalářská práce "Sto let KDU-ČSL na české politické scéně: vývoj strany a komparace s rakouskou ÖVP" se primárně zabývá podrobnou analýzou české politické strany KDU-ČSL a následnou komparací s rakouskou politickou stranou ÖVP. Cílem je zjistit z jakého důvodu KDU-ČSL nedosahuje v České republice takové voličské podpory, jako ÖVP v Rakousku. Stěžejním pojmem práce je politická strana, proto je práce nejprve věnována její definici a teoriím vzniku politických stran na základě odlišných typologií. Práce se v neposlední řadě zaobírá i katolickou církví v politickém systému a podrobným historickým rozborem KDU- ČSL a ÖVP. Stěžejní část bakalářské práce je obsažena v poslední kapitole, kdy je provedena komparace obou politických stran, týkající se jejich pozic v rámci stranického systému, volebních výsledků, členské a voličské základny, organizační struktury, či současných volebních programů. V závěru jsou zhodnoceny výsledky provedené komparace, v jejímž rámci byla použita data z odborných zdrojů a dostupných statistik.
