Obraz terorismu v tištěných médiích

Abstract

Vymezení pojmu terorismu je komplikované a proměnlivé, stejně jako se mění hodnocení jednotlivých incidentů v souvislosti se zveřejněním nových skutečností. Smyslem této diplomové práce nebylo zachytit terorismus pouze jako fenomén s dlouhou historií, ale také jako dynamický sociální jev, který prochází proměnami a etapami vývoje stejně jako celá společenost a představit jej jako komunikační proces, ve kterém jde o prosazování konkrétních politických a dalších cílů. The purpose of this diploma thesis is to examine and compare the manner in which four leading Czech magazines (Tyden, Respekt, Reflex and Instinkt) cover and depict the phenomenon of terrorism. As an example of such an event, we decided to focus on the London bombing attacks that hit the city's municipal transport in the month of July 2005 and which represent one of the most dramatic international events of recent years.
