Abstract

The aim of this work is to explore and characterize the contents of the historical collection of the Mitrov Castle Library, which was created under the influence of the noble family Skene. In the introduction, the work deals with the literature that was written about the library and the history of the castle in which the library was located. Furthermore, the work deals with the history of the original castle, remnants of which lie not far from the Mitrov Castle, and of course the history of the noble family Skene, which was behind the creation of the Mitrov library. In the following chapters, the fundamentals and chronology of the fund are discussed. At the end of the work, the thesis deals with the linguistic and thematic analysis of the library fund.
