Folklorismus po roce 1948 na příkladu Strakonic

Abstract

This bachelor thesis aims to explore the role of a phenomenon of the "Strakonice bagpiper" in constructing of local identity of Strakonice. It uses two main perspectives to achieve this goal: the first one is the changing role of the folk culture under socialism, demonstrated on the example of activities of the Prácheň Ensemble from Strakonice between 1949 and 1989; the second one are the celebrations of 600th anniversary of Strakonice in 1967, that enable to observe the bagpiper (in relation to other symbols) during the process of construction of local identity. A preceding chapter summarizes the institutionalization and of the folklore movement in the given period and current research regarding the movement. The thesis uses articles in regional newspapers, annuals of the Ensemble and a documentation of the Ensemble and the anniversary deposited in the Strakonice District Archive. The thesis presents the possibilities of a political use of the folklore movement in a local context. Keywords: folklore movement, Strakonice, bagpipers, identity, regional history

Cílem této bakalářské práce je objasnit, jakou roli hrál fenomén "strakonického dudáka" při utváření lokální identity města Strakonice. Odpověď hledá za pomoci dvou základních rovin: tou první je fungování Prácheňského souboru lidových písní a tanců mezi lety 1949 a 1989, které ukazuje proměnlivou roli lidové kultury v socialistické společnosti, tou druhou pak oslavy 600. výročí města Strakonice v roce 1967, které nabízejí možnost sledovat symbol dudáka (ve vztahu k dalším referenčním symbolům) přímo v procesu konstruování lokální identity. Těmto dvěma hlavním částem předchází shrnující kapitola o institucionalizaci a odborné reflexi folklorního hnutí v daném období. Práce vychází především z článků v regionálním periodickém tisku, almanachů souboru a dokumentace souboru a oslav uložené ve Státním okresním archivu ve Strakonicích. Ukazuje tak, že folklorismus je možné politicky instrumentalizovat nejen na úrovni státu, ale také na úrovni města. Klíčová slova: folklorismus, Strakonice, dudáci, identita, regionální dějiny
