Nová média ve vztahu k depresivitě a suicidalitě u adolescentů

Abstract

Diplomová práce nese název "Nová média ve vztahu k depresivitě a suicidalitě u adolescentů". Teoretická část práce vymezuje pojmy související se suicidálním chováním a definuje období adolescence, dále se zabývá suicidálním chováním u adolescentů a jeho epidemiologií, rizikovými a protektivními faktory. V další části se práce zaměřuje na depresivitu u adolescentů a charakteristiku nových médií. Popsána je zejména závislost na internetu a vztah k depresivní symptomatice či suicidálnímu chování. Empirická část diplomové práce popisuje výzkumný projekt, který se věnuje zkoumání závislosti na internetu ve vztahu k depresivitě a suicidálnímu riziku v pozdní adolescenci. Výzkumný vzorek se skládá z 201 studentů různých středních škol v Praze. Metody získávání dat obsahovaly dotazník Questionnaire for Determination of Suicide Risk (FBS), Škálu depresivity Dolejš, Skopal, Suchá (SDDSS) a dotazník the Internet Addiction Test (IAT). Výsledky potvrdily, že závislost na internetu signifikantně koreluje s depresivitou i se suicidálním rizikem. Dále se ukázalo, že studenti obchodní akademie vykazují signifikantně vyšší míru depresivity než studenti gymnázia. The diploma thesis is entitled "New Media in Relation to Depressiveness and Suicidality in Adolescents". The theoretical part of the work defines terms related to suicidal behavior and defines adolescence period, further addressses suicidal behavior in adolescents and its epidemiology, risk and protective factors. In the next part, the thesis focuses on adolescent depressiveness and the characteristics of new media. Internet addiction and relationship to depressive symptomatic or suicidal behavior are described in particular. The empirical part of the thesis describes a research project dedicated to examining internet addiction in relation to depressiveness and suicidal risk in late adolescence. The research sample consists of 201 students from various high schools in Prague. Data acquisition methods included the Questionnaire for Determination of Suicide Risk (FBS), the Scale of depressiveness Dolejš, Skopal, Suchá (SDDSS) and the Internet Addiction Test (IAT) questionnaire. The results confirmed that internet addiction is significantly correlated with both depressiveness and suicidal risk.
