Vallièresovi Bílí negři Ameriky. Frankokanaďané a jejich společenské postavení napříč historií

Abstract

Bakalářská práce analyzuje specifický fenomén bílých negrů Ameriky. Prvním, kdo tento pojem v historii definoval a analyzoval, byl frankokanadský novinář a spisovatel Pierre Vallières ve svém stejnojmenném díle (Bílí negři Ameriky, 1968). Nejprve mapujeme historický vývoj tohoto fenoménu a následně se zaměřujeme na společenské postavení a životní podmínky Frankokanaďanů. Poté zkoumáme politologickou stránku studovaného jevu a zevrubně se věnujeme i autorovým argumentačním strategiím, kterými se snaží upoutat čtenářovu pozornost a přesvědčit ho o svých postulátech. Obecným cílem bakalářské práce je zhodnotit fenomén bílých negrů Ameriky z nejrůznějších hledisek: historického, literárního, sociálního i politologického.

This thesis analyses the phenomenon of White Niggers of America. The first author to define and to analyse the concept was a Quebecois journalist and writer Pierre Vallières with his book White Niggers of America. Firstly, we follow the historical development of the phenomenon and then we focus on social conditions of French speaking Quebeckers. Thereafter, we explore the political side of the studied phenomenon and we also deal with author's argumentation strategies used to capture reader's attention and to convince him of postulates. The primary aim of this thesis is to asses the phenomenon of White Niggers of America from multiple points of view: historical, literary, social and political.
