Ota Pavel is known for his belles-lettres, particularly short tales with autobiographical motives. This bachelor thesis aims to point out Pavel's journalistic activity in periodicals, that preceded his literary career. The theoretical segment aims to provide Pavel's contextual portrait in terms of his journalistic activity and mental illness. Practical part contains analysis of Pavel's articles published in the periodicals Stadion and Ceskoslovensky vojak during the limited period.
