Současný význam vánoc

Abstract

This master's thesis focuses on Christmas celebration, the phenomenon which has been the key issue approached by ethnographers since the national revival. Combining semiotic and ethnographic methods, it examines the general semiotics (the first part), analyses the contemporary research on Christmas (the second part), and provides the qualitative research of this celebration.

Práce se zabývá fenomeném Vánoc, které jsou již od počátku národního obrozením klíčovým tématem etnografů. V této práci jsou kombinovány sémiotické a etnografické metody. První část práce se věnuje obecné sémiotice, druhá část analyzuje stávající bádání o Vánocích, ve třetí části je prováděn kvalitativní výzkum.
