Budova Krajské vědecké knihovny v Liberci

Abstract

The student will compile a study about Regional research library building in Liberec (Radim Kousal 1995 - 2000). Part of this building is a space with meaning resulting from the synagogue, destroyed by the Nazis. The building will be put into the context of architecture in Liberec in the second half of the 20th century and into the broader environment of contemporary architecture of libraries in the world with the emphasis on new czech libraries. She will also pay attention to the building's urbanism context, and it's present functioning. Keywords Library, Liberec, architecture, urbanism, synagogue, jewish culture.

Studentka zpracuje studii o budově Krajské vědecké knihovny v Liberci (Radim Kousal 1995 - 2000), jejíž součástí je prostor, který významově navazuje na synagogu, zničenou Nacisty. Stavbu zasadí jednak do kontextu liberecké architektury druhé poloviny 20. století, jednak do širšího kontextu současné architektury knihoven ve světě s důrazem na nové knihovny české.
