Zakladatelé zařízení pro léčbu závislosti na alkoholu na našem území na počátku 20. století

Abstract

Východiska: Na přelomu 19. a 20. století představoval alkoholismus na historickém území Čech a Moravy již značný zdravotní i sociální problém. Počátkem 20. století vznikají na našem území první odborná zařízení pro léčbu závislosti na alkoholu. Cíl práce: Cílem této práce je popsat životy a myšlenky zakladatelů ústavní léčby proti alkoholu na našem území na počátku 20. století, zmapovat začátky oboru léčby závislosti na alkoholu v daném období a zároveň popsat vzniklá zařízení. Metody: Pro sběr dat byla použita obsahová kvalitativní analýza fixovaných dokumentů. Data byla kódována a propojována podle vzájemného vztahu v kontextu vzniku ústavní léčby závislosti na alkoholu u nás. Výsledky: Podařilo se vytvořit alespoň částečné kontinuum popisující životy a myšlenky předních zakladatelů zařízení pro léčbu závislosti na alkoholu na našem území. Závěr: MUDr. Jan Šimsa vyjadřuje potřebu léčit lidi závislé na alkoholu ve zvláštním zařízení již roku 1895. Potřebu vzniku specializovaného zařízení pro léčbu závislosti na alkoholu popisuje i p. Bedřich Konařík - Bečvan, který roku 1911 uvádí do chodu vůbec první léčebnu tohoto typu ve Velkých Kunčicích. Background: At the turn of the 19th and 20th century on the historical territory of Czech and Moravia alcoholism was considerable social and health issue. At the beginning of 20th century specialized institutions for treatment of alcohol dependence are being established in our country. Aims: The goal of this thesis is to depict the lives and thoughts of the institutional alcohol treatment founders in our country at the beginning of 20th century, to map the beginning of the alcohol treatment in this period and to describe the emerging institutions. Methods: Qualitative content analysis of fixed documents was applied to collect the data. The data was coded and interconnected according to mutual relations in context of establishment of institutional alcohol treatment in our country. Results: At least a partial continuum describing the lives and thoughts of leading founders of institutions for treatment of alcohol dependence is carried out. Conclusion: Since 1895 MUDr. Jan Šimsa has already been expressing the need to treat the people dependent on alcohol in a specialized institutions. Also Mr Bedřich Konařík-Bečvan describes the need of establishing a specialized institution for dependence treatment and in 1911 in Velké Kunčice he is opening the first institution of this type.
