Cesta k prvnímu pražskému krematoriu

Abstract

What preceded the construction of the first and the largest crematory in Prague is the theme of this bachelor thesis. The aim of this work is to present comparison between competitive architectural design and describe a realization of the final design by an architect Alois Mezera in the context of the era. Last part of the thesis is also a detailed description of the interior and exterior. I also mention the historical context related to this building. Bakalářská práce Cesta k prvnímu pražskému krematoriu pojednává o všem, co předcházelo vybudování budovy prvního pražského krematoria, které je zároveň svou rozlohou i největší v Evropě. Cílem práce je představit realizaci projektu této stavby v kontextu doby a porovnání soutěžních architektonických návrhů. Práce se dále zaměřuje na vítězný návrh od Aloise Mezery a součástí je i podrobný popis interiéru a exteriéru. V práci také uvádím historické souvislosti, které se se stavbou krematoria pojí.
