Typologie technopesimismu v české literatuře 1850-1950

Abstract

in English: The aim of the theoretical part of the thesis is to explain the term techno-pessimism through the perspective of various fields of study and historical periods. It also analyzes Czech fiction of the 19th and 20th century and points out pieces of work related to the topic of techno-pessimism. The thesis mostly concentrates on the negative aspects of the man and machine relationship. The research part of the work analyzes a relevant sample of fiction novels with the aim to define their most significant and frequented themes of the man and machine relationship. These themes are formed in a typology of model situations of this relationship and the thesis summarizes what had been the real reason and inspiration to the artist in each case. The final part of the work compares the typology with modern lifestyle and tries to find out if there are any correlations between the situations displayed in the literature of the 19th and 20th century and the real situations people are experiencing in our time. Cílem teoretické části práce je podat výklad pojmu technopesimismus z hlediska různých oborů a různých historických perspektiv, prozkoumat českou beletristickou tvorbu z let 1850-1950 a najít v ní díla, která s technopesimismem souvisí. V rámci této oblasti se práce soustředí především na negativní aspekty vztahu mezi člověkem a strojem. Výzkumná část práce zkoumá reprezentativní množinu těchto děl formou obsahové analýzy s cílem definovat nejvýraznější a nejčastější motivy tohoto vztahu. Z těchto motivů utváří typologii modelových situací vztahu člověka a stroje. U jednotlivých motivů typologie se pokouší objasnit reálný námět, který vedl umělce k jejich zobrazení v době vzniku díla. Závěrečná část práce uvádí definované motivy do vztahu k současnosti a pokouší se nacházet podobnost mezi technopesimistickými literárními motivy z let 1850-1950 a reálnými problémy, které ve vztahu člověka a stroje existují dnes.
