Mezi Prahou a Klatovy. Mládí hudebního skladatele Josefa Kličky ve světle korespondence

Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with an important organist, composer and teacher from Klatovy, Josef Klička. The aim of the thesis is to critically evaluate Josef Klička's correspondence with his family during his studies at the Prague Conservatory between 1867 and 1870. A close analysis of the letters reveals more about his student years in Prague and his dramatic departure from the Prague Conservatory. The contents of the letters is put into a broader context of everyday life in the 19th century. Besides the introduction, the analysis of primary and secondary sources, the editorial commentary with the epilogue to the edition and the conclusion, the thesis is divided into two main chapters. The first part examines the life of Josef Klička and focuses on the often omitted period of his studies at the Prague Conservatory from the perspective of the extant correspondence. The second and most important part is a series of eighty-two extant letters of Josef Klička, his parents, siblings, family friends and relatives from the period of his life when he lived in Prague and studied at the prestigious Prague Conservatory. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá osobou významného varhaníka, hudebního skladatele, pedagoga a klatovského rodáka Josefa Kličky. Cílem práce je ediční zpracování rodinné korespondence Josefa Kličky z období jeho studií na Pražské konzervatoři v letech 1867 - 1870. Na základě analýzy rodinných dopisů jsou mapována skladatelova studentská léta strávená v Praze a jeho dramatický odchod z Pražské konzervatoře. Události vyplývající z jednotlivých dopisů jsou zasazeny do kontextu dějin každodennosti 19. století. Práce je kromě úvodu, rozboru pramenů a literatury, ediční poznámky s epilogem k edici a závěru rozdělená do dvou hlavních kapitol. První z nich vykresluje životní osudy Josefa Kličky se zaměřením na dosud v jeho oslavných životopisech opomíjenou dobu studia na Pražské konzervatoři rekonstruovanou dle dochované korespondence. Druhou a nejdůležitější částí práce je vlastní edice osmdesáti dvou dochovaných dopisů Josefa Kličky, jeho rodičů, sourozenců a rodinných přátel a příbuzných z doby jeho pobytu v Praze a studia na prestižní Pražské konzervatoři.
