Ústavní péče v Československu po roce 1948

Abstract

The main goal of this diploma thesis is to introduce everyday life of children in institutional care in Czechoslovakia after 1948. The thesis is based upon interviews with former children and educators who were part of the institutional care, using the oral history method. Archival materials were also used as a source. The text describes the different aspects of life in institutional care: birthday parties, relationships between children, holidays, specifics of work in the institution, contact between the children and their biological families, education etc.

Hlavním cílem diplomové práce je představit každodenní život dětí v ústavní péči v Československu po roce 1948. Práce staví na rozhovorech s bývalými dětmi a vychovateli a využívá metodu orální historie. Součástí práce jsou vedle rozhovorů také archivní materiály. Předkládaný text reflektuje běžný život v ústavech - narozeniny, vztahy mezi dětmi, prázdniny, specifika práce v ústavu, kontakt dětí s biologickými rodinami, vzdělání a další.
