Rodina a škola jako socializační činitelé reprodukující genderové stereotypy v souvislosti s genderovou segregací na trhu práce

Abstract

V diplomové práci si klademe otázku, zda instituce rodiny a školy jako významných socializačních činitelů reprodukují genderové stereotypy spojující ženy s rolí pečovatelky o rodinu a o domácnost a muže s rolí živitele rodiny a s orientací na oblast technického zaměření. Zabýváme se tím, zda rodina a škola reprodukují tyto stereotypy v souvislosti s pojetím kariéry a ve vztahu k horizontální a vertikální segregaci na trhu práce. Reprodukci genderového stereotypu ženy pečovatelky o rodinu a o domácnost a stereotypu muže živitele rodiny a stereotypu spojujícího spíše muže než ženy s orientací na oblast technického zaměření propojujeme s teorií genderového schématu Sandry Bem a konceptem habitu Pierra Bourdieuho. V diplomové práci se soustřeďujeme na českou společnost, a to především v období let 2001 až 2011. Za účelem zodpovězení otázky vycházíme z literatury, kvantitativních a kvalitativních výzkumů zabývajících se námi sledovanou problematikou, ze statistik Českého statistického úřadu, Ministerstva školství, mládeže a tělovýchovy, Ministerstva práce a sociálních věcí a Ústavu pro informace ve vzdělávání a z vybraných údajů mezinárodních longitudinálních výzkumů International Social Survey Programme (ISSP) a European Values Study (EVS). In the diploma thesis we ask the question whether the important agents of socialization family and school reproduce gender stereotypes which associate women with the role of a carer about family and household and men with the role of a breadwinner and with the orientation to the field of technology. We focus on whether family and school reproduce these stereotypes in connection with the definition of a career and in relation to horizontal and vertical segregation at the labour market. The reproduction of gender stereotypes viewing women as carer about family and household and men as breadwinners and the reproduction of gender stereotype connecting rather men than women with technical orientation are conjoined with gender scheme theory of Sandra Bem and with Pierre Bourdieu's concept of habitus. The diploma thesis aims at the Czech society, mainly in the period from 2001 to 2011.
