Konzultant diplomové práce: MUDr. Pavel Dostál, Ph.D. Název diplomové práce: Intenzivní medicína I - Septický šok a jeho terapeutické možnosti Cíl: Cílem práce byl sběr a analýza současných informací o příčinách, patofyziologii a možnostech terapie nemocných se septickým stavem a septickým šokem. Hlavní poznatky: Sepse a septický šok jsou velmi závažné klinické syndromy. Následkem sepse je smrt statisíců lidí každý rok. Diagnostika a léčba sepse a septického šoku je náročná, z mnoha hledisek. Nezanedbatelná je i stránka finanční. Výzkum v této oblasti se zaměřuje na objevení nových možností v diagnostice i léčbě, které by splňovaly požadavky na rychlou a přesnou diagnostiku a zároveň byly cenově dostupné. Celosvětově probíhá mnoho preklinických i klinických studií, které mají osvětlit pohled na rozsáhlou problematiku sepse ve všech jejich aspektech. V této práci je podán přehled aktuálních názorů na etiologii, patofyziologii, diagnostiku a terapii sepse a septického šoku včetně možných výhledů do budoucna. Main findings: Sepsis and septic shock are serious clinical syndromes which can even result in the death of thousands of people every year. The diagnosis and treatment of sepsis and the septic shock is demanding in various ways; mainly professionally, socially and also financially. Therefore there has been a constant effort to discover new possibilities in diagnosis and treatment. In the whole world, there have been carried out many pre-clinical and clinical researches, which are gathering the views on the broadly debated issue of sepsis.
