Motivace k pojmenování potomků a její proměny v generacích

Abstract

Shrnutí Tématem práce byla motivace k pojmenování potomků a její proměny v generacích. Bylo zjištěno, že rodiče při výběru jména pro svého potomka zohledňují různé faktory, jejichž míra vlivu se v čase proměňuje. Průzkum získal od 202 respondentů (rodiče) 396 vzorků ze zkoumání (děti). Tyto děti se narodily v období od 40. let minulého století po současnost, tedy rok 2011. Úhrnem má na pojmenování největší vliv zvuková stránka jména, dále soulad s příjmením, významová stránka jména a rodinná tradice. Proměnami v čase prošly všechny motivace, nejvýraznější je trvalý pokles rodinné tradice a trvalý nárust kategorie jiného vlivu (kam patří nejvýraznější motivace zvukové stánky jména, soulad s příjmením a významová stránka jména). Další dvě kategorie, a to motivace pojmenování podle slavné osobnosti a podle fiktivní postavy sice stále narůstají, avšak doposud nepřekročily hranici 10%, jejich vliv je tedy zatím minimální. Jak vyplývá z grafu č. 1, všechny kategorie nyní zaznamenávají nárust, tento trend souvisí s vyšším počtem narozených dětí v posledních letech, ale také je zřejmé, že rodiče dnes ovlivňuje více různých motivací než dřív.

Résumé The topic of this paper is a survey into the motivations behind the naming of descendents, and the changes in such naming throughout generations. The survey found that when choosing names for their children, parents take into account various factors. The level of influence of these factors undergoes a change throughout time. 396 samples (children) were obtained for assessment from a total of 212 respondents (parents). The aforementioned children were born within the period commencing in the 1940s and stretching up to the present time - 2011. Altogether, it could be said that the sound of the name itself influences the naming process the most. This is closely followed by aspects of agreement between first name and Christian name, semantics of the specific name and family tradition. All motivations have undergone some degree of change throughout time. The most notable changes are a permanent fall in the influence of family tradition and a permanent rise in other categories of influence. Among the latter we can find those concerning the sound of the name, agreement with Christian name, and semantics of the name.
