This bachelor' s thesis has focused on the approach of the self-conception and the psychosocial problems of the disabled person. The theoretical part includes the information and facts, which are connected with the image of the disabled person. It deals with following definitions - the handicap within the meaning of the hard life situation; selected factors, influencing the mental evolution of the disabled one; the self-conception; the sense of inferiority; the somatic self-conception. The practical part of the thesis was elaborated on the basis of structured interviews such as the observation. The goal of this part was to make a deeper probe into the life experience of several disabled persons with focus on their subjective attitude towards their handicap. While working up this part of the thesis, the qualitative research methods and principles of stationary theory were used.en_US
