Abstract

Title of Thesis: Knowledge of Basketball Rules Among Youth Coaches Student: Vojta Kočárník Bachelor's Thesis Supervisor: PhDr. Mgr. Kateřina Jurková, PhD Aim of the Thesis: This bachelor's thesis focuses on the level of basketball rules knowledge among youth basketball coaches in the Czech Republic. The main aim of the thesis was to analyse the level of this knowledge through the interpretation of model game situations. The thesis also examined the relationship between the length of coaching experience and the level of basketball rules knowledge and described selected characteristics of the respondents, including their coaching licence level. Methodology of work: The research was conducted using a quantitative research design based on a non-standardized questionnaire distributed among youth basketball coaches in the Czech Republic (n = 68). The questionnaire consisted of 19 items divided into three thematic sections: demographic information, questions focused on coaching education, sources of information about basketball rules, and respondents' attitudes, and a test section comprising five model game situations. Kateřina Jurková, Ph.D. Cíl práce: Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na úroveň znalostí pravidel basketbalu mezi trenéry mládežnických kategorií v České republice. Hlavním cílem práce bylo analyzovat úroveň těchto znalostí prostřednictvím interpretace modelových herních situací. Práce dále sledovala souvislosti mezi délkou trenérské praxe a úrovní znalostí pravidel basketbalu a popsala vybrané charakteristiky respondentů, včetně dosažené trenérské licence. Metodika práce: Výzkum byl realizován formou kvantitativního šetření pomocí nestandardizovaného dotazníku distribuovaného mezi trenéry mládeže v České republice (n = 68 respondentů). Dotazník obsahoval 19 položek rozdělených do tří tematických částí: demografické údaje, otázky zaměřené na trenérské vzdělávání, zdroje informací o pravidlech a postoje respondentů a testovou část tvořenou pěti modelovými herními situacemi. Získaná data byla podrobena deskriptivní statistické analýze a následné komparaci subjektivního hodnocení vlastních znalostí s dosaženou úspěšností v testové části dotazníku.
