Daniela Svobodová Supervisor: PhDr. Tereza Nováková, Ph.D. Title: Rehabilitation of Patients with Spinal Muscular Atrophy: Current Approaches and the Role of Psychosocial Support Objectives: To identify and analyze current therapeutic interventions for patients with spinal muscular atrophy, particularly from the perspective of physical therapy in both clinical and home settings, with a focus on the main clinical manifestations of the disease. Furthermore, to assess the importance of psychosocial support and identify professional recommendations in this area. Methods: The aim of this thesis was to conduct a systematized literature review of current findings regarding the possibilities of physical therapy intervention for patients with spinal muscular atrophy, both in clinical settings and in the home enviroment. This thesis addressed not only basic therapeutic methods, such as manual therapy and respiratory rehabilitation, but also approaches based on neurophysiological principles, physical therapy, and rehabilitation aids. Daniela Svobodová Vedoucí práce: PhDr. Tereza Nováková, Ph.D. Název: Rehabilitace pacientů se spinální muskulární atrofií: aktuální přístupy a role psychosociální podpory Cíle: Vyhledat a analyzovat aktuální terapeutické intervence u pacientů se spinální muskulární atrofií, zejména z pohledu fyzioterapie v klinickém i domácím prostředí, se zaměřením na hlavní klinické projevy onemocnění. Dále zhodnotit důležitost psychosociální podpory a identifikovat odborná doporučení pro tuto oblast. Metody: Cílem této diplomové práce bylo vypracovat systematickou literární rešerši o aktuálních poznatcích a možnostech fyzioterapeutické intervence u pacientů se spinální muskulární atrofií, a to jak v odborném prostředí (klinická pracoviště), tak i v prostředí domácím. Tato práce se zabývala nejen základními terapeutickými metodami, například manuální terapie či respirační rehabilitace, ale také přístupy na neurofyziologickém principu, fyzikální terapií a rehabilitačními pomůckami. Práce byla primárně zaměřena na intervenci v rámci fyzioterapie, ale zahrnuje i další přístupy ať už z lékařského pohledu či jiných, nelékařských, oborů.
