Michaela Stupková Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient after total knee replacement surgery. Thesis aim: The thesis is structured into two main parts. The first part is theoretical, providing an overview of the biomechanics and kinesiology of the knee joint, along with general information on osteoarthritis and the surgical procedures relevant to the patient's case. The second part consists of a case study, focusing on the examinations and physiotherapy interventions administered to the patient, followed by an analysis of the outcomes achieved through the rehabilitation process. Clinical findings: The patient was a 72-year-old male with diagnosis of total knee replacement surgery, performed 6 days ago from the time we met. The patient had limited ROM and weakness in the muscles in the operated leg and the area around the knee was swollen and warm. Methods: All the procedures that were use are based on my knowledge acquired from Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Physical Education and Sport. Result: After five days of therapy, the patient demonstrated overall positive progress.
