Abstract

The Professional Development Portfolio of Dominik Novák presents a systematically organized collection of essential components documenting the author9s professional growth. A significant part of the thesis is an essay on the topic of teaching electrical engineering using simulation software. The aim of the work is to analyze the effectiveness and benefits of various modern teaching methods. The thesis is based on theoretical knowledge from pedagogy and didactics, which are combined with practical exercises and the author9s personal experience from school practice. The work also includes an analysis of the book The Lazy Teacher, which discusses the effectiveness of various modern teaching approaches. The entire portfolio is built on the integration of pedagogical activity, personal reflection, and the search for ways to make teaching more effective, comprehensible, and above all meaningful for today9s generation of students. At the same time, the portfolio illustrates the author9s development as a teacher 3 from initial experiences to conscious decision-making about which methods and approaches to choose in teaching.
