Title: Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient with the Unilateral Transmetatarsal Amputation Objectives: The objective of this bachelor's thesis is an overview of information about diabetes in connection to lower limb amputation. It presents an in-depth case study of a patient with this diagnosis and her physiotherapy. Methods: This bachelor's thesis consists of two parts. The first part is a theoretical introduction with an overview of the body of knowledge about diabetes mellitus, its treatment, and about the diabetic foot syndrome. Furthermore, this part is a comprehensive introduction into the problem of lower limb amputation and the care patients with this diagnosis receive. The care is viewed through the prism of physical therapy, which can be beneficial also when complications associated with amputation occur. The second part offers a case study focused on physiotherapeutic care of a patient with the unilateral transmetatarsal amputation diagnosis. It includes the initial kinesiological analysis, detailed description of the therapy units, the kinesiological analysis at the end of the therapy and the evaluation of the outcome. Cíle: Hlavním cílem této bakalářské práce je shrnutí poznatků o diabetu a amputacích dolních končetin a zpracování kazuistiky fyzioterapeutické péče o pacienta s touto diagnózou. Metody: Tato bakalářská práce se skládá ze dvou hlavních částí. V první, obecné části jsou shrnuty poznatky o diabetes mellitus a její léčbě a o syndromu diabetické nohy. Dále je v této části uvedena problematika amputací dolních končetin a nastíněná léčba o pacienty s touto diagnózou. Léčba je zde uvedena především z pohledu fyzioterapie, která se stará i o případné komplikace amputací. Ve druhé, speciální části práce je uvedena kazuistika fyzioterapeutické péče o pacientku s diagnózou jednostranné transmetatarzální amputace. Tato část obsahuje vstupní kineziologický rozbor, popis terapeutických jednotek, výstupní kineziologický rozbor a zhodnocení efektu terapie. Kazuistika pacienta byla zpracována během souvislé odborné praxe v oblastní nemocnici Kladno v termínu 16. 1. - 10. 2. 2023.
