Vliv TV seriálů na vnímání profese zdravotních sester

Abstract

The aim of this work is to examine the influence of Czech TV series on the perception of the nursing profession. Emphasis is placed on clarifying the role of television series as a source of information about nursing care. Main focus of this work is to find out, on a set of health care professionals and non-health care workers, what source of information is most often used for obtaining information about health care. It is also discussed how people in the Czech Republic perceive nursing care in Czech TV series and whether there are work-related, social and demographic factors that influence the opinion on the care in TV series. The theoretical part describes the most important Czech TV series depicting the profession of nurses, in terms of action and how they depict work clothes and nurses' visage. The historical development of nurses' uniforms is also described. The practical part is realized in the form of an analysis of a questionnaire survey. Based on hypotheses, the objectives of the work are discussed and the results are compared with analogous studies abroad. Overall, the thesis highlights the missed opportunity in educating the public about the profession of nurses. Úkolem této práce je prozkoumat vliv českých TV seriálů na vnímání profese zdravotních sester. Důraz je kladen na objasnění role televizních seriálů jako zdroje informací o ošetřovatelské péči. Cílem práce je na souboru zdravotníků a nezdravotníků zjistit, jaký zdroj informací je nejčastěji využíván pro získávání informací o zdravotní péči. Také je řešeno, jak lidé v ČR vnímají ošetřovatelskou péči v českých seriálech a zda zde existují pracovní, sociální a demografické faktory, které názor na reálnost péče v seriálech ovlivňují. V teoretické části práce jsou popsány nejvýznamnější české seriály zobrazující profesi sestry, z hlediska děje a toho, jak zobrazují pracovní oděv a vzhled sester. Také je popsán historický vývoj uniforem zdravotních sester. Praktická část je realizována formou analýzy dotazníkového šetření. Na základě hypotéz jsou diskutovány cíle práce a výsledky jsou porovnány s analogickými studiemi v zahraničí. Celkově práce upozorňuje na nevyužitou příležitost při edukaci veřejnosti o profesi sester. Hlavním výstupem práce je fakt, že si společnost v Česku uvědomuje, že televizní seriály jsou jen dramatizací, a že nelze na jejich základě činit předpoklady o ošetřovatelské péči a o image zdravotních sester.
