PharmDr. Martin Beránek, PhD. Title: Examination of MPL in myeloproliferative diseases This bachelor thesis is focused on the myeloproliferative diseases related to mutations in the MPL gene. By identifying a specific mutation, it is possible to determine the diagnosis of patients with myeloproliferative diseases and thus set appropriate treatment. This thesis, therefore, aimed to introduce new diagnostic procedure at the Department of Molecular Genetics at the Regional Hospital Liberec. The aims of the work: The first objective was to get acquainted with the myeloproliferative diseases and their essential characteristics. The second objective was to study the role of mutations in the MPL gene in myeloproliferative diseases. The main aim was then to introduce a method for the determination of MPL gene mutations at the Department of Molecular Genetics at the Regional Hospital Liberec. PharmDr. Martin Beránek, PhD. Název práce: Vyšetření MPL u myeloproliferativních onemocnění Tato bakalářská práce zpracovává téma myeloproliferativních onemocnění v souvislosti s mutacemi v MPL genu. Jejím cílem bylo zavést vyšetřovací laboratorní postupy na oddělení molekulární genetiky v Krajské nemocnici Liberec, a.s. Zvolením použitých metod jsem tuto metodu zavedla a je možné ji na našem pracovišti vyšetřovat. Určením konkrétní mutace je možné lépe určit diagnózu pacientů s myeloproliferativními onemocněními a nastavit tak vhodnou léčbu. Cíl práce: Cílem bakalářské práce bylo seznámit se s problematikou myeloproliferativních onemocnění a s jejich základní charakteristikou. Dále podrobné seznámení se s problematikou a významem mutací v MPL genu u myeloproliferativních onemocnění. Hlavním cílem bylo zavést a osvojit si metody používané při stanovení mutací MPL genu na pracovišti molekulární genetiky v Krajské nemocnici Liberec, a.s.
