Abstract

Title: Inclusion of a child with a cochlear implant Objectives: The aim of the work was to assess the success of inclusion of pupils with hearing impairment who are users of the cochlear implant in the current educational process at the first level of elementary school from parents'point of view. Methods: The research was conducted by an anonymous questionnaire consisting of 39 questions. 17 parents of children with cochlear implant who attend elementary school participated in the study. Results: All respondents think that their child is satisfied at school and majority (82 %) of them did not face difficulties with enrolment of their child to mainstream school. Pupils are usually well integrated in physical education. Parents' choices of school type is usually influenced by more factors such as sibling and distance of the school from their home. Majority of parents lost their worries about their child's education in mainstream school within few months of school attendance. Conclusion: Results show that inclusion of a deaf child with cochlear implant into mainstream education was perceived by parents as a success and is currently not perceived as a problem. Název: Inkluze dítěte s kochleárním implantátem Cíle: Cílem práce bylo posoudit úspěšnost inkluze žáků se sluchovým postižením, kteří jsou uživatelé kochleárního implantátu (KI) do běžného vzdělávacího proudu na prvním stupni základní školy, a to z pohledu jejich rodičů. Metody: Výzkum byl realizován anonymní anketou vlastní konstrukce, která se skládala z 39 otázek. Anketu, vyvěšenou na webových stránkách, vyplnilo 17 rodičů sluchově postižených dětí, vzdělávajících se na 1. stupni ZŠ. Výsledky: Všichni z dotazovaných rodičů jsou přesvědčeni, že jejich dítě je v běžné škole spokojené nebo spíše spokojené, zároveň většina z nich (82 %) se při zápisu dítěte do školy nesetkala s obtížemi. Žáci jsou obvykle dobře integrováni i v tělesné výchově. Rozhodování rodičů ohledně výběru školy pro dítě s KI je ovlivněno více faktory, např. školní docházkou sourozence nebo místní dostupností školy. Obavy většiny rodičů po nástupu jejich dítěte do běžné školy obvykle končí. Závěr: Výsledky ankety naznačují, že inkluze dítěte s kochleárním implantátem byla z pohledu respondentů úspěšná.
