Trnaslation and Theoretical Commentary on a Part of Micky Neilson's Novel Starcraft Uprising

Abstract

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá překladem prvních čtyřiceti stran románu Stacraft: Uprising od spisovatele Mickyho Neilsona. Práce se sestává z praktické a teoretické části. Praktická část obsahuje anglický originál a překlad části knihy. Teoretickou část tvoří stylistická analýza mého překladu, která je zaměřena na rozdíly mezi angličtinou a češtinou a další problematiku, se kterou při překladu setkávala. This bachelor thesis deals with translation of the initial fourty pages of the novel Stacraft: Uprising by Micky Neilson. The Thesis consists of a Practical and a Theoretical part. The Practical part contains the English original text and the translation of its initial chapters. The Theoretical part is then a stylistic analysis of the translation, which focuses on differences between English and Czech and other issues i had to cope with during the translation.
