Rozdíly ve mzdách v České republice podle pohlaví a věku

Abstract

Cílem práce je klasickou regresní metodou nejmenších čtverců analyzovat rozdělení příjmů mezi muži a ženami na českém trhu práce v roce 1996. Stejným způsobem je nahlíženo také na vliv věku na determinaci mezd. Rozdělení příjmů porovnáváno podle pohlaví je navíc doplněno o dekompozici mezd (Binder, Oaxaca), která umožňuje odpovědět na otázku, zda na českém trhu práce existovala v roce 1996 mzdová diskriminace podle faktoru pohlaví a případně určit její velikost. Veškeré výpočty jsou prováděny na cross-sectional Microcenzových datech sbíraných za rok 1996, pro který je moje práce platná.

The aim of this work is to analyze the allocation of wages between men and women on the Czech labor market in the year 1996. For doing that, the classical regression method of the least squares will be used. The same approach will be taken into account while analyzing the influence of the factor age on the wages determination. The allocation of wages according to the gender is supplemented by the decomposition of wages (Binder, Oaxaca), which enables to answer the question, whether there was some discrimination by gender on the Czech labor market in 1996. In case that yes, we will as well try to quantify the level of this discrimination. The whole calculation has been done on the cross-sectional Mikrocensus data file, which was created in the year 1996, which is this work valid for.
