Smetanovo kvarteto. Pedagogická a koncertní činnost

Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with the Smetana Quartet. Its aim is to summarize the history of this ensemble and its influence on the development of Czech tradition of chamber music. This thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter deals with the establishment of this ensemble and its concert and recording activities. The later chapters summarizes the biographies of players and a description of their personalities in connection with their role in the Quartet. The final chapter is devoted to the pedagogical activities of its members as well as the ensembles that have studied under their leadership. This thesis also provides an analysis of the Smetana Quartet's style of interpretation which is compared with the style of the Panocha Quartet. In the attachment we can find photographs of the Smetana Quartet. This thesis is based on the publications of Vladimír Šefl and Karel Mlejnek, on a documentary film, interviews of a witnesses and on the website which was initiated by Dagmar Virtová, daughter of Jiří Novák.

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o Smetanově kvartetu. Jejím cílem je shrnout historii tohoto souboru a jeho vliv na rozvoj tradice české komorní hry. Práce je rozdělena do pěti kapitol. První kapitola se zabývá vznikem tohoto souboru a jeho koncertní a nahrávací činností. V dalších kapitolách jsou zpracovány životopisy jednotlivých členů a dále popis jejich osobnosti v souvislosti s jejich postem v kvartetu. Závěrečná kapitola je věnována pedagogické činnosti jeho členů a souborům, které studovaly pod jejich vedením. Práce také přináší rozbor interpretačního stylu Smetanova kvarteta, který je srovnáván s hrou Panochova kvarteta. V příloze najdeme fotografie členů Smetanova kvarteta. Práce vychází z publikací Vladimíra Šefla a Karla Mlejnka, z filmového dokumentu, rozhovorů s pamětníky a internetových stránek, které vznikly z podnětu Dagmar Virtové, dcery Jiřího Nováka.
