Sběratelství německých a rakouských deskových obrazů 14.-16. století v Národní galerii v Praze

Abstract

The thesis Collecting of German and Austrian Panel Paintings of the 14th-16th Centuries at the National Gallery in Prague is devoted to art collecting of panel paintings which are considered to be works from regions of what is today Germany and Austria. Two items were probably created in nowadays Switzerland; six panels are originated from the Southern Tyrol (today belonging to Italy) and two pictures can be localized to Silesia, to Wrocław (Breclau) respectively. The thesis includes works created in the period from the late 14th century to the late 16th century. The paintings have appeared in the region of the today Czech Republic in various periods, many of them belonged to aristocratic collections, which blossomed mainly in the 18th-19th centuries. Many secondary written sources have been survived from this period, in which particular work of art can be often founded. This thesis focus on the paintings which are now at the National Gallery in Prague (or belonged to the collections of its historical predecessors). On the basis of primary and above all secondary written documents can be verified when and under which circumstances the works of art appeared in region of our country and how they subsequently came to the funds of our largest public art collection.

Disertační práce Sběratelství německých a rakouských deskových obrazů 14.-16. století v Národní galerii v Praze se věnuje sběratelství deskových obrazů, které jsou pokládány za díla pocházející z území současného Německa a Rakouska. Dva obrazy vznikly nejspíše na území dnešního Švýcarska, šest desek bylo vytvořeno v Jižním Tyrolsku (dnes patřící k Itálii), dva obrazy lze lokalizovat do Slezska, a to do Vratislavi. V práci jsou zahrnuta díla, která vznikla v období od konce 14. století až do konce 16. století. Obrazy se na území našeho státu dostaly v různých dobách, mnohé z nich náležely k aristokratickým kolekcím, jež se nejvíce rozvíjely v 18.-19. století. Z této doby také pochází největší část sekundárních písemných pramenů, které dané malby často zachycují. Předmětem zájmu přítomné práce jsou obrazy, jež jsou v současné době ve sbírce Národní galerie v Praze (popřípadě tvořily součást fondu jejich historických předchůdkyň). Na základě zachovalých primárních a zejména sekundárních písemných dokumentů lze v mnohých případech doložit, kdy a za jakých okolností se sledovaná díla objevila na území našeho státu a následně jak se dostala do fondů naší největší veřejné umělecké sbírky.
